After an unsuccessful thrifting trip today with my pal Nicole, I decided to pop into The Fetish Factory to play dress up. I tried on and fell in love with this gorgeous gold latex dress (believe me… it looks a lot better in person than on shaky video in harsh fluorescent light). I couldn’t find my phone in my purse to take a picture so I decided to video myself in it instead.

The dress is $200 and on hold until tomorrow… just in case i miraculously find $199 tonight. (I found a dollar on the ground earlier today!) Oh well, a girl can dream, right?

I’ve been bad… I know. I’m sorry. I was trying to think of excuses of why I haven’t been blogging but I can’t come up with a good one. I’m not terribly busier than normal, I’ve just been really tired.

So let’s see, what has happened. I had a dinner party and made red-pepper flatbread (from scratch!), potato gallette, and maple-brown sugar brined organic pork chops. My friend Heather baked an amazing, fluffy pumpkin cheesecake and a good time was had by all. Oh, and she brought her delightful pup, Penny!

There was some South Beach party-time action that was not as awesome as we had hoped, but the weekend ended well with some high-quality outdoor hangouts and my Hello Kitty blueberry waffles.

And besides that.. hmmm. Jason and I got some new dudes to live in our fish tank after one of our ugly bottomfeeders was literally caught between and rock and a hard place (aka the side of the tank) and died. We are now the proud parents of 2 German Rams and 3 Bamboo Shrimp (not pictured) who seem to be content living all huddled together under the powerhead.

I’m about 5 days late, but I’ve just been too busy/tired to get these posted any earlier.

For Halloween, Jason and I dressed and Brock Samson and Molotov Cocoktease. Most of my costume was pieced together in the last 2 hours before we had to head out to Miami. My sewing machine broke and I had to hand-sew my catsuit to fit and I glued together the eyepatch as I was (no lie) running out the door. I didn’t end up wearing it much since it turned out to be way too big. Anyways, eyepatch + glasses = stupid. I was pretty sure my costume was going to fall apart while I was dancing but luckily it held up all night and into the morning!

P.S. Some girl asked Jason if he was Dog the Bounty Hunter. Ha!
